Dear Unitarian Universalist Society: East Members and Friends:
We have resumed our two-service schedule at 9AM and 11AM. Both may be attended in-person, but only the 11AM service will be broadcast virtually. Masks are currently optional but recommended.
March 26: “Asking for Help.” All Congregation Service. This morning we continue exploring the theme of vulnerability with a special focus on asking for help. In preparation for this service, think about a time when you had to ask for help? Did you ask? How did it turn out for you? Coordinators: Rev. Josh Pawelek and Gina Campellone
Login information for our Virtual Sunday Services appears in our congregational eblast on Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoons. To add your email address to our list, please contact the UUS:E office at (860) 646-5151 during regular business hours; or, at any time, send an “add me to the list” request to [email protected].
See below for more information on joining by Zoom.
The order of service can be found here on Sunday morning.
How to join us on Sunday Mornings
First: If you would like to join by video on any device, login information for our Virtual Sunday Services appears in our congregational eblast on Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoons. To add your email address to our list, please contact the UUS:E office at (860) 646-5151 during regular business hours.
If you haven’t used Zoom before see below for more information.
However, your device must be properly enabled. If you have not used Zoom video conferencing before, go to https://zoom.us/support/download. Downloading Zoom is free and quick. I recommend that you do the download as soon as possible to make sure you are all set for the start of the service.
Second: You can also join the virtual service by phone. Call in at the number included in the eblast a few minutes before the start of the service. You will be prompted to provide the supplied Meeting ID. You may be prompted then to provide a participant ID. If so, ignore that prompt and just hit # again. Please mute your phone during the service and during songs.
Tip: If you cannot hear well using your computer or tablet sound, join by Zoom, mute your mic, and then call in to listen.
Third: We will be passing a virtual Sunday Service Collection basket. Unspecified donations are split 50/50 with our monthly Community Outreach Ministry and UUS:E’s operating cost fund.
I cannot attend the virtual service, can I still view the service?
