Becoming a Sanctuary Congregation

Refugees and undocumented immigrants in the U.S. are facing new threats. As Unitarian Universalists, how do we gain better insight into the plight of these people, how should we view the current situation in light of our UU Principles, and what are the options for Unitarian Universalist Society: East and its members to get involved? In Session 1, we’ll examine the plight of the immigrants and refugees, the issues they face, and the history of the Sanctuary Congregation Movement. In Session 2, we’ll discuss the current movement and how UUS:E and its members can help. Hosted by the Social Justice Anti-Oppression Committee’s Sanctuary Congregation Team.
