View from the Memorial GardenThis committee develops a slate of officers for annual elections, supports members of the UUS:E leadership team, and provides training opportunities for current and future leaders.

NLDC Mission

The Nominating and Leadership Development Committee works in partnership with congregational leaders to match individuals with leadership positions. We also offer leadership development opportunities in support of Unitarian Universalist Association principles and the Unitarian Universalist Society: East mission and goals.

How NLDC Members are Appointed

All members of the Nominating and Leadership Development Committee (NLDC) are elected by the community and serve staggered 2-year terms. The committee selects its own chair.

NLDC Meetings

NLDC typically meets monthly from September through May, when the slate of nominees is presented to the community for a vote. Other committee meetings are scheduled as needed, and training workshops take place at various times during the church year.
