The Unitarian Universalist Society: East Policy Board is calling a congregational meeting to take place after both Sunday services on January 8th at approximately 10:15 AM and 12:15 PM.
The congregational members will be asked to vote on the following question:
Shall UUS:E enter into a partnership with SmartPower to participate in their “Solarize With Faith” program?
Information about the benefits and obligations of this partnership are below.
At the 12:15 meeting, in addition to the vote on the partnership with SmartPower, the congregation will also be invited to discuss:
- A proposal for a new UUS:E vision statement. (The congregation will have multiple chances to comment on drafts of this statement prior to a final vote at the annual meeting in May.)
- The question of whether or not UUS:E should use Amazon Smile as a fundraising vehicle.
- An update on plans to pay down UUS:E’s mortgage.
If you would like to vote but are unable to attend the meeting, absentee ballots are available in the UUS:E office. If you would like to designate a proxy, the form appears on the back of the congregational letter below.
