Unitarian Universalist Society: East Buddhist Group

Tibetan Buddhist Monks from the Gaden Jangtse Monastery in South India create a mandala.Join the UUS:E Buddhist Group on First Tuesdays at 7 P.M. We’ll turn our mind toward our intentions, which direct our actions, speech, and thoughts. This also ties in with discernment, also called clear-seeing, the ability to see things as they are without the filters of habitual thought or social conditioning. The Buddhist Group meets at 7 P.M. in Room 2 for meditation, teaching, and discussion. No experience necessary.

The Buddhist Group offers a place to meditate, study, and explore Buddhist teachings as they relate to our lives. Each session begins with a meditation period, followed by a teaching on an aspect of Buddhism and discussion. Nancy Thompson, a teacher with the Interdependence Project, leads the group.

Join the Buddhist Group at 7 p.m.  on the first Tuesday, in Room 2 on the lower level.
