Youth Leader
Debra J. Cottis joined the staff at UUS:E in September 2011 as the Youth Leader. She completed her BA in religion at the Harvard Extension School and is now a seminary student at The Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge MA. She is following the Unitarian Universalist process of accreditation for ordination and is a member of the UU Buddhist Fellowship. She is also an intern chaplain at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester and has a ministry with GLBTQI youth and their allies at Safe Homes, also in Worcester. Prior to pursuing her calling, she worked in the corporate world and owned an importing company in Honolulu, Hawaii. She presents an all-inclusive ministry, one that focuses on multiculturalism, loving kindness and the elimination of oppression.
