Mission of the Committee: To advise and support the Director of Music; sustain and broaden the music program of the Society; encourage children and teens, as well as adults, to share their musical talent; and promote fundraising concerts.
Programs and Activities of the Committee:
Meetings are held as needed, at least three times a year, to address music needs and concerns that have arisen. We sponsor several fundraising concerts a year, which are held at the Society. Planning and implementation of the concert details are committee responsibilities.
Needs of the Committee:
We seek volunteers interested and/or involved in our eclectic music program, which adds an extra dimension to the spiritual life at UUS:E. Volunteers should be willing to attend meetings, help out at fundraisers, and think musically. One need not be a music performer to apply; being a music lover is sufficient and always appreciated.
Easter Sunday, March 23: “Easter Music Service.” Easter comes early this year. Join us for a festive musical celebration! Josh Pawelek and Director of Religious Education Vicki Merriam offering Easter homilies.
